Meet Gadget 2

I wrote a Christmas fan fic about Inspector Gadget a short time ago that introduced an original character(one that was a composite of two existing characters in the Inspector Gadget franchise, but an original creation nonetheless).

I introduce Inspector Christine Prince, also known as Gadget 2 or G2. She is a combination of Inspector Prince and G2.

Inspector Prince was a character in Go Go Gadgetinis, a fictional second season to the Inspector Gadget spinoff Gadget and the Gadgetinis that was for a short time believed to be a real show before it was revealed to be a hoax. Prince was meant to be introduced as Inspector Gadget's spouse.

In case you never heard of Gadget and the Gadgetinis, it was a genuine spinoff of the original cartoon where Gadget was promoted to Lieutenant and became a member of WOMP(World Organization of Mega Powers), an elite crime-stopping agency led by the oblivious General Sir.

Chief Quimby works in another field of WOMP, so Lt. Gadget learns his missions from a Colonel Nozzaire, who just straight out tells Gadget what Dr. Claw and his M.A.D. Agents are up to rather than giving him an exploding message. Nozzaire also actually hates Gadget when Quimby showed actual gratitude when congratulating Gadget no matter how much he annoyed him.

Brain has retired due to the stress and pain protecting Gadget and assisting him caused, so he is replaced by Fidget and Digit, the titular Gadgetinis. The Gadgetinis were robotic mini versions of Gadget built by an older Penny. Fidget was orange and tended to be clumsy and more laid back, while Digit was blue and tended to be more cynical and serious at times. It was a great show and nearly flawless, but just doesn't hold a candle to the original series. Gadget and the Gadgetinis lasted 52 episodes, 34 episodes less than the original show.

G2 was introduced in the second live-action movie, and we know that the live-action Inspector Gadget films are infamous for bearing little in common to the cartoon series. In Inspector Gadget 2, G2 was a female and robotic version of Gadget built as an update on Brenda Bradford's Gadget Project. G2 was also more competent and efficient than Gadget. She at first thought Inspector Gadget to be useless, but later in the film developed feelings for him and even helped him ruin Dr. Claw's plan.

Christine Prince, as I said before, is an original creation loosely based on these two. She was the Inspector's friend when he was young. After his graduation, Gadget never heard from Christine again until he heard of an accident she was in a week before Christmas.

On Christmas Day, Inspector Gadget was relieved to learn that the scientists that gave him his gadgets(Professor Von Slickstein, Professor Gizmo, Dr. Myron Dabble, Dr. Brenda Bradford, and Dr. Baxter Adams) found the injured Christine and made her a cyborg crime-fighter like he was. Gadget and G2 are pleased to be able to resume their relationship and can't wait to see what Dr. Claw has in store for them.
