Another installment in my planned series of tributes to 20 of my favorite voice actors.

My previous pictures covered April Winchell, Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Maurice LaMarche, and the late Tony Jay.

This time, I'm doing a picture of my favorite roles done by Elizabeth Daily.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 animated series)

In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, E.G. Daily was the voice of Quarx from the Season 7 episode The Starchild.

Quarx was the titular Starchild, and his backstory was that his father gave him powers to put an end to an intergalactic war.

Unfortunately, Quarx's father died shortly after giving his son powers, and being only a child, Quarx coped by using his powers to have fun and staying a child for centuries.

Eventually, he caused enough havoc across the universe that he ended up on Earth, where thousands of enraged aliens followed him. One of the aliens was named Drako (not to be confused with the dragon-like villain from the 2003 show), who desired to take the Starchild's powers for himself.

Fortunately, Master Splinter found out about Quarx's history and was able to convince the alien child to finally grow up by impersonating his father and telling him what happened.

After becoming an adult, Quarx then teleported Drako to a prison planet and offered to use his powers to undo all the damage he caused.

The Starchild happens to be one of my favorite episodes of the 1987 TMNT cartoon.

2. Rugrats

In Rugrats, E.G. Daily was the voice of Tommy Pickles, the leader of the show's five toddler protagonists.

One reason I liked Rugrats was because of E.G. Daily's performance as Tommy. The scenes where Tommy babbles like a real baby sounds so believable!

Elizabeth Daily also played Tommy in All Grown Up, a highly contested spinoff where the babies became preteens.

3. ChalkZone

In this highly underrated cartoon, Daily voiced the main protagonist Rudy Tabootie.

The premise of ChalkZone is that every chalk drawing we erase comes to life in another world called ChalkZone. Rudy and his friend Penny Sanchez are the only ones who know of this place's existence, and together they defend the place with Penny's brains and Rudy's possession of magic chalk, which brings whatever he draws to life.

I saw some episodes of ChalkZone as a child and didn't have any opinion of it then, but I love it now knowing that recurring villain Skrawl was voiced by Jim Cummings and that the two-part episode The Big Blow-Out featured Malcolm McDowell as Barney the Encyclocentipedia and an actor I will cover later in this series of drawings as King Mumbo Jumbo.

Rudy's got the chalk!

4. The Powerpuff Girls

In this show, Elizabeth Daily voiced Buttercup, the tough and aggressive tomboy. She even reprised her role in the 2009 special The Powerpuff Girls Rule as well as the 2014 special Dance Pantsed, both of which I have very mixed opinions about.

I don't really have a favorite Powerpuff Girl, as a lot of my favorite episodes gave them equal spotlight.

For me, the funniest moment in the history of the show was when the girls unknowingly tortured Mojo Jojo by dancing to Blarney the Singing Sea Serpent. "If I were a fish, I'd SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM!"

5. Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man

On this show, E.G. Daily was the voice of Mambo, the second head of Eric Tiberius Duckman's conjoined twin son. The other head, Charles, was voiced by the late Dana Hill and then by Pat Musick after Hill died.

Charles and Mambo were a child prodigy, but they often got into squabbles.

6. Bump in the Night

Bump in the Night was an obscure and short-lived claymation show that starred Jim Cummings as a green monster covered in warts named Mr. Bumpy, who loves to eat socks and lives under the bed of a ten-year-old boy. The show also starred Rob Paulsen as Bumpy's blue neat freak friend Squishington and Gail Matthius as their friend the comfort doll Molly Coddle.

E.G. Daily guest starred in the episode Adventures in Microbia as the Germ Girl, who became smitten with Squishington on first sight, but she was of course an abhorrent admirer since Squishy is obsessed with cleanliness and all.

Eventually, however, Squishington begins to have feelings for the Germ Girl, but he and Bumpy have to return to their regular world after their attempt at directly neutralizing germs.

Germ Girl would later return in Neat and Clean, which was basically Adventures in Microbia except it's much shorter and concludes with a musical number. She would also frequently make cameos at the Karaoke Cafe.

7. Quack Pack

In this highly contested spinoff to DuckTales, E.G. Daily was the voice of Donald Duck's nephew Louie, with his brothers Huey and Dewey voiced by Jeannie Elias and Pamela Adlon respectively.

I admit that I prefer Russi Taylor as the voice of Donald's nephews, but I also liked Jeannie, Pamela, and Elizabeth's portrayals.

I admit to being a fan of both DuckTales and Quack Pack. Quack Pack may be different from DuckTales, but it still had its moments.

My favorite episode of Quack Pack was "Ducky Dearest", where Huey, Dewey, and Louie try to arrange a surprise birthday party for their dear old uncle, but Donald Duck becomes paranoid that his nephews are doing illegal things behind his back, so he gets conned with phony parental advice by a scam artist named Dr. Homer. It was especially sweet when Donald's nephews decided to end all the trouble by giving their uncle his presents early and saying "Happy birthday, Uncle Donald."

Here is a list of the next 14 voice actors I plan to cover: Tara Strong, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Tress MacNeille, Dan Castellaneta, Corey Burton, Eric Bauza, Frank Welker, Rodger Bumpass, Kath Soucie, Pat Fraley, Dee Bradley Baker, Jess Harnell, and Tim Curry
