Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: Deleted Scenes

Before I explain what the deal with this is, I'll tell you of an unimportant event from earlier, which I preemptively apologize for. A while back, I once made a comic inspired by the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends episode "Duchess of Wales", where a scene had Duchess threaten to go naked because she didn't like how Madame Foster made her dress and Madame Foster pleaded her not do and even said "Not again", which seemed to imply Duchess went nude to show contempt for a dress not made to her liking before. For reasons beyond even my own understanding, I went and made a comic about that, expecting everyone to lambaste me for it. To my surprise, a few people actually added the comic to their favorites and two people even said they thought my comic was funny.

The negligible connection that incident has to this picture is that the description of the earlier comic promised I would eventually do some fan art based on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, a spin-off animated series of the Toy Story film series that was intended to be the in-universe cartoon the Buzz Lightyear toys were based on. It took me so long to get around to it because I've been preoccupied with other ideas and people giving me requests (which I am not too annoyed by. If my art wasn't any good, nobody would want me to draw stuff for them.)

Now that I am almost caught up with Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (I am only one episode behind as of this writing), I've drawn up two deleted scenes from the episodes "The Crawling Flesh" and "Devolutionaries".

"The Crawling Flesh" was about Zurg inventing a contagious virus that caused people to merge with those closest to them into a mutant blob that couldn't talk, Buzz Lightyear and Mira Nova being patient zero. Buzz and Mira cured themselves off-screen, but that courtesy wasn't given for the rest of Star Command, so we got to see Commander Nebula, Booster Sinclair Munchapper, several generic Space Rangers, and the LGMS in their birthday suits. Knowing I would risk attracting complaints about sullying people's childhoods, I decided to draw Buzz and Mira finding themselves naked after curing themselves of the infection.

"Devolutionaries" dealt with Team Lightyear being exposed to a gas that devolved them into primitive lifeforms, causing Buzz to become a caveman, Mira to become a giant amoeba, and Booster to become a Triceratops-like creature. Because XR was a robot, he wasn't affected by the gas and had to guide his teammates to victory. In the end, everyone who was exposed to the gas was cured and Warp Darkmatter became a neanderthal for his troubles. Even if this was a kids' show, it was kind of annoying how they glossed over the fact that Booster and Mira would logically be nude after being restored to their proper forms.

If making my first fan art of certain cartoons risque makes me a sleaze, then I apologize.

Once I finish catching up with the Buzz Lightyear cartoon, I'll go back and revisit every one of the Toy Story movies in addition to the TV specials and other related media, considering that a fourth film is in the works.
